He wasn't as rich, but Ollie was plenty rich, and it was hard to get used to the idea of not always needing to be the one who paid. And there was, of course, the fact that he had no desire to take advantage the way some...people had occasionally tried with him.

Plus he was fairly sure that the American Express was one of the way his parents verified his continued existence so far away from home.

"And here I thought I was going to lose to a hot shower," Ollie murmured. Spoiler alert: that was a lie. "You know, I think I'll let you surprise me."

Which was unusual, in a word. Ollie tended to maintain some kind of control, even if it was often only expressing his opinion of what Ty should do next.
