Gael had intended to go, until Carlos convinced him not to. It was, Carlos had said, nothing to worry over and he just preferred a smaller crowd. Never mind that it wasn't very small. When Ollie showed up at the apartment and suggested they watched a couple of movies, Gael started to figure out that Carlos was more concerned about Gael not being able to deal with anyone getting hurt. Which, fine....to be fair, it was true. His father had died in a sword challenge, and he cared very little for them.

But then it started to rain, and Gael frowned. Standing, he was by the window watching the rain when Ollie got the phone call.

Gael's heart stopped. He didn't remember much, other than he sat suddenly down as his legs gave out on him. He hadn't expected such news to be quite like a train smacking into him. He could remember Ollie telling him everything was going to be fine- Carlos was fine. But none of that seemed to matter.

It was much later, after he'd dried his face and let Ollie talk him into breathing in a normal manner that he found his way to Club castle. Ollie went off to direct Ty out of Carlos' rooms as Gael slipped in and made his way to the other man's bedroom.

"You know," he said as he came into the room, "it isn't very....kind to make someone worry as you have." Still he offered Carlos a small smile as he moved to the bed and slowly crawled up, kicking off his shoes, to gingerly lie down next to Carlos. "I'm very...upset with you. You said everything was going to be alright."
