It was funny, except not funny at all, Carlos thought. He'd brought up Bas Novak on purpose, and for the reason Gael had quickly discerned - but now he was jealous, the moment Gael talked about Ty's younger cousin helping him out. Maybe if they were both there, he thought, the threesome they'd first talked about before everything went to hell.

But Gael and Bas alone? It made him feel a bit like he was losing his grip on something.

He hadn't dared ask if they were dating; honestly, he hadn't dared ask anyone if they were dating for a few years now. Carlos had very deliberately taken a right turn towards the wilder side of sex when Michel had dumped him and his parents had disowned him. It had included bondage and pain, of course, but also multiple partners and relationships that were open more than they weren't. He hadn't been jealous...since he was sixteen.

He didn't say anything about that, though. Maybe they were dating, maybe he'd admitted he was in love with Gael, but Gael hadn't said the same. He'd said he'd try, but that was different. "We're going to have to be creative," he said. "I mean, I can't fuck you, but we can probably manage something."

He couldn't just skip the subject of Sebastian, though, not when he'd brought him up, and he smiled a little. "Have to make her introduce you soon," he said lightly. "Before he goes back out. He told me he'll be in London the next two years."
