Carlos laughed a little against Gael's lips. "I'm sure we can come up with all kinds of things to please each other," he said before he sank into the kiss. There was nothing rough about it, nothing really demanding, and it had been some time, he thought, since he'd kissed anyone like that. Certainly he and Gael had never been sweet together.
He skimmed his fingers along Gael's cheek and then cupped the nape of his neck gently as they kissed, and it was some minutes before he pulled back. When he did, he wasn't entirely sure what the next thing was, he thought. He'd always known where they were going. They weren't going to be a grand romance, and it simplified their path. But then he'd gone and fallen in love, and Gael...Gael did not love him. He cared for him, and he said he wanted to try to love him.
It all made it complicated, didn't it? He thought as he watched Gael through his lashes for a moment. He hadn't tried a real relationship for a few years now, and he'd forgotten how it worked. "Well," he said. "It's early yet. If we go back to your apartment, there's going to be your roommate."
