the rain meme

Ah, rain—the precipitation that the whole world has a love/hate affair with it. It waters the garden for free and ruins baseball games. It cools you off in the summer and it causes more ice and sleet to appear in the winter. Sometimes it is lovely and falls at a decent pace for a few hours, other times, it blasts the whole eastern seaboard away.
Poems and songs have been written about it, people have danced in it, others have cursed its entire existence, and still more refuse to go out and drive in it.
Now it’s time to roll some dice and see what the weather will have in store for you today.
directions
1. Comment with your character, series, preferences, etc in the subject.
2. Roll a number between 1-5 with the RGN for an intensiy.
3. Roll 1-15 with the RGN for a situation.
4. Reply to other comments and play the scenario out!
5. Don’t catch a cold!
intensity
1. DRIZZLE ☂ It’s not too heavy or too light of a downpour, just enough to wash away stuff in the air, water the ground, and clean up the streets.
2. MONSOON ☂ It’s horrible and awful! Rain is coming down in buckets, no one can get anywhere, the wind is whipping everything about, and now the cable is out.
3. SHOWER ☂ Reminds you of early spring, doesn’t it? A nice shower to make everything all green and smell fresh again. Lovely.
4. FLOOD ☂ While rain is good, it can sometimes be bad. Grab a boat!
5. CATS & DOGS ☂ You’re lucky with this one. It’s not the worst storm in the world, but it’s still pretty heavy. Be careful when driving!
prompts
1. A DARK, STORMY NIGHT ☂ You know all those stories that start off with a stormy night before something goes wrong: a murder, an attack by ninjas, a crime. It is one of the best known clichés in the world, and you’re stuck in the middle of it.
2. HUMIDITY ☂ It’s that time of the year again when the humidity rises and the rain has two options: make it worse or make it go away. Good luck getting the latter.
3. GRAY RAIN OF DEPRESSION ☂ We all know this one. Stuck in the middle of no where, or right after an argument, or something that leads to angst, the rain decides to express someone’s feelings in a physical form, serious or over the top.
4. QUIET MORNING ☂ Nothing to do, nowhere to be… sometimes the rain is a welcomed addition to a quiet day. Gives you an excuse to stay in, curl up in a warm blanket and a book, maybe a loved one or a cup of hot chocolate. With sprinkles.
5. PUDDLES ☂ After it rains, what is the number one thing you have to do? Go put on some rubber boots and splash around of course!
6. SUDDEN STORM ☂ It might have been predicted, but sometimes storms just sweep in and do their thing with little to no warning. Hope you’re not outside.
7. THUNDER & LIGHTNING ☂ Loud, surprising, scary, ominous, comforting, fantastic to watch or listen to… some like thunder and lightning, others not so much. Of course, if this happens before a big confrontation, the universe is telling you something.
8. CAN’T GET WORSE ☂ You did not say that. You did not just say that. How many times does this need to be seen in movies and books before anyone learns?
9. STUCK ☂ No, no, no, no. This cannot be happening. What happened to the ten percent chance of rain? You forgot your umbrella and now you’re stuck in it!
10. RUINED PLANS ☂ You had all these wonderful plans to go outside, have some fun in the sunshine, do some errands, maybe a date… and the weather goes against them.
11. DANCING ☂ Sometimes rain is a cause for celebration, or you just feel like doing something spontaneous. Grab someone to join you and get wet!
12. RAIN BATTLE ☂ The most intense, important battles happen in the rain. Verbal spars, punching someone in the guts; it’s all dramatic and climatic. And no one slips.
13. DATE ☂ Aww, don’t let the weather ruin your date! It can be really romantic, being out in the rain, and it’s always fun to go with the flow.
14. A DAY INSIDE ☂ Sometimes, it’s just better to stay inside and enjoy something simple and easy like board games or catching up on TV shows, or maybe the bills.
15. WILD CARD ☂ Was there something I missed? Did you want to roll again or choose your own adventure? Go for it!

"Oh, I like to watch. And I like to be watched. It is probably terrible, really. That or maybe I should have just been a porn star." He said, smirking before he raised a brow and shook his head. How was he supposed too know who was following a Club doctor around. "Uh, no? I don't really know much of anything going on in this castle until it involves sleeping with you."
no subject
He might expire, honestly. He glanced over at Gael, though, and there was a glint in his eyes as he settled back against the pillows. "The very, very pretty Sebastian Novak, fresh from his fourth year at Cambridge," he said. "He hit on me."
no subject
"Did he?" Gael asked, blandly as he mulled over his own personal situation. Sex- well, no sex for ten days was just. How, how was he supposed to live like that? That did beg a question, too- was he supposed to be faithful to one partner now? What where they, technically? Gael hadn't, actually, slept with anyone else in a long time, a fact that snuck up on him through a former lover who asked why he only ever seemed to go home to Carlos these days.
He'd asked if they were dating, Gael had just stared at him as if he'd grown a third head before turning to walk off. Were they? How did one go about establishing that they were dating? As kids it was easy, write will you date me on a piece of paper- yes or no. 'Lets go steady- yes or no'. Adults didn't write little notes to pass to each other with stupid 'yes or no' questions on them.
"Sarah told me she'd introduce me a month or so back..." The day after he'd nearly been murdered by his ex. It was probably more than a month back, but who was counting. "Maybe he'd help me...."
no subject
But Gael and Bas alone? It made him feel a bit like he was losing his grip on something.
He hadn't dared ask if they were dating; honestly, he hadn't dared ask anyone if they were dating for a few years now. Carlos had very deliberately taken a right turn towards the wilder side of sex when Michel had dumped him and his parents had disowned him. It had included bondage and pain, of course, but also multiple partners and relationships that were open more than they weren't. He hadn't been jealous...since he was sixteen.
He didn't say anything about that, though. Maybe they were dating, maybe he'd admitted he was in love with Gael, but Gael hadn't said the same. He'd said he'd try, but that was different. "We're going to have to be creative," he said. "I mean, I can't fuck you, but we can probably manage something."
He couldn't just skip the subject of Sebastian, though, not when he'd brought him up, and he smiled a little. "Have to make her introduce you soon," he said lightly. "Before he goes back out. He told me he'll be in London the next two years."
no subject
"Do you trust me?" He asked, looking Carlos in the eye before he leaned back against the headboard. "I mean....really trust me?" It was not because he needed Carlos to, really. It was more that he had a plan to satisfy his needs...without, possibly, ruining whatever this was. He still wasn't sure what this was, but they had spoken about Bas before. About a mutual interest....
It might not have been the complete threesome as planned, but it could still be fun, right? Maybe. But only if Carlos' trusted him....and if Bas even agreed. Oh fuck him, when did he become so concerned with what other people were worried about and feeling? Friends, yes, but lovers?
"I hear I put on a good show..."
no subject
But maybe he trusted him enough. He trusted him not to want to wreck what they had now, whatever that was. "Yeah," he said. "I do trust you." He smiled a little. "What kind of show are you going to put on for me?"
no subject
"You do realize one of my default settings is to please, yes?" He asked, smirking against the other man's lips. "I really can't help myself... I just want to please you, often."
Which just meant that he needed to now plot how to get Bas Novak to go along with this slightly ridiculous plan of his. Ridiculous because not many people enjoyed the idea of sex while explicitly being watched.
no subject
He leaned back a bit, though, and smirked. "Sebastian isn't that mysterious. He's just a Novak." And therefore excellent at projecting that air of slightly menacing mystery. Carlos was fairly sure that both he and his little sister Lily learned that at their parents' knees. Of course, Carlos remembered Bas as a five year old, so there was that, too. "I'm more than confident that you can convince a twenty-two year old to fuck you, anyway we want."
He gave Gael another soft kiss. "You do please me, you know," he said. "A lot. Spoil me, probably."
no subject
"Besides, I actually should go back to work at some point, mental break downs only get you out of work for so long." He said, scrubbing his hair before he sighed a little and looked at Carlos. "Which, I have to do in tomorrow- before Master Lawrence really fires for me good." He was on his last straw with them, and likely to lose a rank if he wasn't careful. And wouldn't that just be the icing on his epic meltdown cake?
no subject
He turned his head, though, watching Gael for a moment. He wouldn't say he looked about ready to head to the gallows, exactly, but there was something of that on his face. "How much do you think you're going to have to grovel?" He asked. Gael was, without a doubt, the most talented actor currently on the stage. Ali had expressed disappointment in his understudy for Cats, and also a little fear that she was going to be stuck with the kid for the winter play. But she'd also said she was pretty sure Lawrence would kill to get Gael back.
"I heard he wants to do Long Day's Journey Into Night this winter," he said. "Ali's pissed because, in her words, there's only two female roles and one of them's bullshit."
no subject
"Oh, enough to believe I would never do it again." Gael answered as to how much groveling he'd need to do. It wasn't going to be too long, though. Lawrence was already nearly begging him to be done with 'his emotional non-sense' and to just come back. Apparently, Sammy Roth was not a great replacement for Gael Shaw. It was rather frustrating to know that people couldn't pick up even a little bit of the slack. Gael wasn't, after all, the only talent in the theatre.
"Oh, yeah. Lawrence already gave me the script. He wants me to play Edmund." Which made sense, he wasn't 65 so the dad was out, and the elder brother was 33- something Gael wasn't particularly good at pulling off. He had to work hard to look like a man in his 20s most days. "There aren't that many parts in general, but yeah- she has a point. The problem is that there are never going to be great plays for the ladies as long as we keep using male directors. Gay or not. Also- Lawrence is afflicted with a love of a certain era in stage."
The stupid era, but who could argue with the director?
no subject
Whether that was actually true or not was another thing. Carlos doubted it, really, but the directors all had their favorites.
"If they're not careful, the actresses'll all go rogue on them," he said a bit lazily. "Put on all female versions of Aeschylus on the Green during the official performances or something." It wouldn't take much to put that in Ali's head, he mused. Well, he wasn't that bored yet.
no subject
But the last bit had him turning on his side to raise a brow at Carlos. "Cherie, it would be rather unfortunate for them to do that. I mean, it would serve Lawrence right, but it would also hurt the rest of us too. Maybe, instead, she should just direct her own all woman production of....Julius Ceaser for the Shakespeare of the Green. I'm sure Hadyn would be amused by the idea."
no subject
He laughed a little. "Ali? Alicia Paloma Sánchez, direct? Maybe someday, but not any time soon." She'd hit him if she could hear him. "She's a good instigator, but when it comes down to it she's a tiny nineteen year old, and people still bulldoze her. Sarah could do it, though." Sarah used to act, after all. Sarah used to do a lot of things she seemed to have needlessly abandoned to fit herself into the box she'd picked for herself, but there was no telling her that. "Or is it just me who thinks she's bored out of her mind?"
no subject
Leaning in he caught Carlos's lips in his, kissing gentle and lovingly before he pulled away got off the bed. "I have to shower, love. I have to get about my day just a little....Well, mostly, I just need to run a few errands and then come back and cook you a dinner you'll die for. Do you like soups? Or....anything in particular?"
no subject
He kissed Gael back, though, and despite the soreness and pain - this was really as complete as he'd felt for a long time. He'd been thirteen the last time someone had rushed in, worried that he'd gotten himself killed. That had been his mother, he thought, and probably the last time someone cooked for him much, either. He didn't count Sarah's tendency to show up occasionally with a pie. "Mm, surprise me," he said. "I'm not picky."
no subject
He left then, to do his errands and shopping. He even called Daniel as he stared at the long aisle of food to ask what all went into Minestrone soup. Daniel seemed to glow when he asked, and glow more when Gael reluctantly explained it was so he could cook for Carlos. It was all just a matter of time, wasn't it...before Daniel was going to start insisting Gael bring Carlos along for family dinner night. Which meant Noelle was likely going to call him in the next few days.
Which she did, not letting him off the phone as he tried to cook dinner for the two men. But then he sat on the bed with Carlos, and they watched a movie as they ate.... They hadn't had sex in days, which was an accomplishment. And more importantly, Gael thought, it had stopped being quite the center of conversation- though it did sneak in from time to time.
"You're legs doing better," Gael said as he came into the apartment seven days after the incident. "Getting around right and proper I see....But, you'll have to forgive me. I brought take out tonight. I was distracted after Sarah had me meet someone of mutual interest for coffee....I told him that you're stitches could use come tending."
no subject
His mother had come, but his father continued to prove true Carlos' assumption that Felipe would never show up to see his second son unless he was dead. Though, truthfully, Carlos cared to see his father about as much as his father cared to see him.
He was sketching out new guard formations - not exactly the most exciting use of his drawing skills - when Gael came in that night with a bag of what smelled like Thai. "Oh no, I'll have to kick you out if you aren't going to make me a casserole," he said with a slight smile as he set down his pen and got to his feet. It was true what Gael said; he was getting along much easier. He'd seen the doctor that day, actually, and the stitches could come out in just a few more days.
Of course, the sixty year old Club doctor was definitely not who Gael had seen, and Carlos' smile widened. Sex had slipped away from being the center of conversation - but it was never far from his mind, and he'd jerked himself off more than once to the idea of watching Gael be fucked by Sebastian Novak. "Ah," he said, as he flipped the notebook shut and dropped it in the bag to go back to Ty in the morning. "And did Sebastian volunteer to come check on his handiwork?" Hopefully soon, because Carlos was on the edge of going stir-crazy.
no subject
Though, honestly, he was probably lucky the man wasn't asking him to suck his cock. He didn't know if Lawrence was gay, or bi- but it honestly wouldn't have surprised him. Most of the members of the actors trope were. It was a secret little hub for all of them, and most of them were loose with their morals too. Not all, granted- but enough that it certainly was a well known assumption around how some people got their parts.
"Give me a few, and I'll be out." He said, stealing another kiss, and greatly regretting that Carlos was banned from sex- for ridiculous reasons. Surely by now it wasn't going to do much harm, as it? Three days....
No. Shower, then he could whine about it later. And it was with some reluctance that he pulled away from Carlos, frowning unhappily at his nails as he noticed a bit of paint still lingering on his hands. Ug. He hated painting. He'd just have to scrub even more in the shower.
no subject
"When rehearsals get started again he probably won't be wasting your time with that." It was, after all, the O'Neill - a selection that meant his sister was grumpily waiting tables and snatching catering gigs this winter, something he heard about pretty much every opportunity.
He set the table, though, as Gael disappeared into the bathroom, and after some consideration, went to the fridge to pull three ciders out, opening one and taking a drink when there was a light knock at the door. He smiled inwardly before he set it down and went to let Sebastian Novak in.
He really was very, very pretty, he thought as he opened the door. And knew it. "Ah," he said out loud, though as he let the younger man in. "I feel like I should swear that I've been obeying doctor's orders, given you talked to Gael today." Of course, Bas wasn't a doctor yet. And mostly he'd looked amused when he'd spelled that one out.
He still looked amused, as Carlos handed him a drink. "Mm, no, given the tenor of our conversation today, I'm absolutely sure you've been following the them to the letter," he said. He glanced towards the bathroom, where he could hear the shower, before looking back at Carlos again. The so-called soft Suits were brimming with attractive people. Carlos was one of the few he wasn't sort of related to. Gael Shaw was another. "Your boyfriend has creative ideas," he said as the shower went off. "I'm kind of amazed he got them all out before Sarah could come out of the bathroom and possibly pitch a fit."
His cousin had a tendency to forget a few things, really. Like the fact that he was only three years younger, and the fact that he'd just finished his medical education at Cambridge. And the fact that he had a considerable amount of sex in his life.

pulling on the sleep pants he scrubbed his hair mostly dry by the time he made it out to the living area. Smiling he looked at Bas and then Carlos before he moved closer to the pair to picked up his own cider. "Well, everyone's here, I guess that means we can eat." He'd picked lighter fair for himself, mostly because he had no desire for it to go rushing through his system if the night went long.
"And Sarah couldn't possibly pitch a fit, I'm far too charming for that." He promised, though...boyfriend. He'd not thought to use that word in relation to Carlos before. Boyfriend. It was not something he thought he'd correct, right now at least. "And it doesn't matter how creative I am, tonight. This is for him....also because your lot deemed it fit to deny me sex for ten days. Surely seven has been long enough."
no subject
"Also, I don't make the rules when it comes to healing time. If I did, the stitches would be out, darling. All the more fun, you know," he added, and a dimple flickered in his cheek as Carlos laughed softly on his other side.
"Don't take it out on Bas," he said to Gael. "Besides, tonight should tide you over, mi amor, until you can have your way again."
They didn't linger over dinner, and didn't linger over what dishes there were before Gael let the way to the bedroom, with Carlos bringing up the rear, watching both younger men with hungry eyes as he settled heavily on the bed. "Gael, I think Sebastian has too many clothes. "
no subject
He reached up, though, pulling Bas down into a kiss, before his hands moved down to the hem of his shirt. He pulled away from the kiss as he pulled the shirt up and over Bas' head and dropped it off to the side. Leaning in he kissed Bas' bare chest than then again and again as he started working on the man's jeans. He worked the button loose and then unzipped them before he pushed them and his boxers down to the floor for Bas to step out of.
"I don't think that is a problem any more," he murmured, looking over at Carlos before he reached up to run his hand through Bas' hair, pulling him down for another kiss as he did so.
no subject
"Stop," Carlos said. He'd managed to unbutton his shirt while he'd watched the Gael and Sebastian and his jeans were unfastened, his hand tucked inside as he stroked himself through his underwear. "Gael, on your knees," he murmured as his hand moved on his cock. "Suck him off, but don't let him come yet, cariño."
no subject
He wrapped his hand around Bas' cock, pumping the semi-hard member a little before he caught the tip of it between his lips and sucked on it. His hand started to pump the cock as he sucked on the tip, coaxing it into a stiff state before he reached up with his other hand to fondle the man's balls. Eventually his swallowed more of Bas' cock, working it over as he teased, sucked and licked Bas' rod until it was stiff as a rod.
